Cruising is a very unique vacation experience. Until you've taken a cruise, you really do not know what to expect. While not for everyone, cruises are a great way to see parts of the world that you might otherwise miss.
Cruising with Disney is even more unique and special. Disney Cruise Line offers a nice variety of itineraries and their ships are beautiful and majestic. Vacationing with Disney at sea is unlike anything else. It's energetic, fun, classy, and magical - it's Disney after all!
If you've visited Disney World or Disneyland, and enjoyed your time there, maybe it's time to consider a Disney Cruise.
Cruise Itineraries
Disney currently has three ships in its fleet: the Wonder, the Magic, and the Dream. A fourth ship, the Disney Fantasy, is due to set sail in March 2012.
Each ship has its own itinerary. These itineraries include traveling to the Bahamas, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Alaska, or Mexico.
Choosing a particular itinerary can be tricky, but if it's your first cruise, I recommend departing from the port closest to your home. If you're a West Coaster, the Alaska or Mexican Riviera cruises will be most convenient. If you're on the East Coast, the cruises out of Port Canaveral, Florida, will be your best option.
Some of the itineraries include a stop at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. The island is located in the Bahamas and is one of the most beautiful places I've visited. The azure water at the adult-only beach, Serenity Bay, is so clear. The beach activities are also fun: biking, snorkeling, sting ray encounters, volleyball, and even parasailing!
Cruise Control
On board the ships, you'll find multiple restaurants, nightly entertainment, adult-only areas, pools, a spa, kids' clubs, and other great amenities. Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of activities throughout the day and night for cruisers to enjoy. There's no age limit on the Disney Cruise! Whether you're 1 or 100, you'll find something fun to do or see.
Because of the extensive research involved with a Disney Cruise, I highly recommend booking your vacation with a Disney travel specialist. By doing so, you'll have access to an expert able to answer all of your questions throughout the planning stages.
Between the stateroom choices, ship activities, restaurants, port excursions, gratuities, etc., there's a lot to learn about Disney Cruise Line. Contact your Disney travel agent for more information on a Disney Cruise.
Don't just think about a Disney Cruise - make it happen! You will love it!
