Where in the World Do You Want to Eat?
February 19, 2011
At Disney World there is a wide variety of good foods. From Italian to seafood and everything in between. Let me tell you about some of the amazing restaurants at Disney World.
Garden Grill is located in Epcot. It is a family style buffet - meaning they bring your food to you at your table. They serve salad, turkey with gravy, vegetables, french fries and macaroni and cheese. Guess what's on top of the mac and cheese? I won't tell you because it would ruin the magic! And for dessert there are cupcakes. While you eat you can meet Mickey, Pluto and other characters.
Next up is Biergarten, also located in Epcot. Biergarten is a German buffet with many great foods such as sausages, chicken schnitzel, sauerkraut, and pretzel rolls. For dessert there's apple strudel and Black Forrest cake. At Biergarten there is a live show. I enjoy watching the show while eating schnitzel. All the waiters and waitresses at Biergarten are from Germany.
At Hollywood Studios 50's Primetime Cafe is different from all of the other restaurants at Disney World. The waitstaff act like your "brothers and sisters". If you put your elbows on the table you had better watch out for your "brothers and sisters"! At 50's you can order meatloaf, grilled and fried chicken, burgers and pasta. I enjoyed dessert because I had "Dad's Brownie Sundae". It's a big ice cream sundae with cracker jacks, brownie bites, M&M's, cherries and lots and lots of whipped cream.
At 1900 Park Fare, at the Grand Floridian Resort, there's the Supercalifragilistic! breakfast. You can greet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, the Mad Hatter and Alice, and Mary Poppins. The breakfast is a buffet. There's eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits - lots of the usual. But my favorite is the lobster egg's Benedict!
Personally, my favorite restaurant at Disney World is O'hana. This is also a family style buffet where they bring your food to your table. There's grilled shrimp (mmmm...), steak, pork fried dumplings, broccoli, turkey and noodles. For dessert there's bread pudding. During the meal, the kids can join in a Conga line and dance around the restaurant. Remember, O'hana means family and family means no one gets left behind.
At Disney World there's lots of food to choose from. What would you eat?
